A Research & Discovery Mission Open to the Most Adventurous of Travelers.

Expedition Entomology is chance for anyone, regardless of academic background, to join our research and conservation initiatives where you’ll collect specimens, document behavior, and discover species while hiking, swimming, climbing, digging, and camping in some of the most remote and biodiverse places on Earth while gaining cultural insight and developing unforgettable bonds with the researchers and fellow participants.

You are part of our field research team led by Explorers Club member and award-winning science communicator Jace Porter. This means you will be named on any future publications which result from the work we've done together. Every expedition generates essential insect biodiversity information from a wide variety of ecosystems, supporting global conservation plans and creating much-needed, long-term environmental datasets.

Expedition Entomology is a STEM accredited project and the proud recipient of the Entomological Society of America's 2024 Science Communication Award and the 2025 Best in STEM award.
